Background

David was born and raised in the Maasai Mara region, where his family has lived for generations as part of the Maasai community. Growing up surrounded by wildlife, he learned traditional tracking methods from his father and grandfather, who were renowned scouts in the area. His deep understanding of animal behavior and seasonal patterns comes from decades of observation and ancestral knowledge passed down through storytelling and hands-on experience.

Story

After completing his formal guide training and obtaining all necessary certifications, David spent over two decades leading safaris for international tour operators before co-founding Regal Roams. His vision was to create a company that honors the land, respects local communities, and provides authentic safari experiences guided by those who truly understand Africa's wilderness. David's expertise in tracking the Great Migration and locating elusive leopards has made him one of the most sought-after guides in East Africa.
